The Catalysis and Chiral Technologies group of Johnson Matthey is pleased to present our redesigned monthly edition of Catalysis Forum. Our goal is to provide a convenient means for you to receive updates to out latest developments in catalysis. We value your input and welcome suggestions on specific areas of interest that you would like to see incorporated into our updates. We also invite you to share this information with your colleagues. |

Versatile BoPhoz Ligands
MeBoPhoz has shown excellent activity in many rhodium - catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation of C=C bonds in dehydroaminoacids and α, β unsaturated acids and esters (S/C up to 100,000). The P-Cy-Me-BoPhoz ligand has been shown to catalyze the asymmetric reduction of α-ketoesters, which is unusual for a rhodium catalyst.
