Carbonyl Reductases Technology
Johnson Matthey Catalysts is pleased to announce that X-Zyme has granted a worldwide license to JM for the use and sale of carbonyl reductases enzyme technology in the production of chiral alcohols for the pharmaceutical and fine chemical sectors.
The referenced products, along with a range of hydroxy compounds, can be produced with a high ee of >99%.

Process Chemistry in the Pharmaceutical Industry

The 6th annual ACS ProSpectives “Process Chemistry in the Pharmaceutical Industry” conference will be chaired by Joe Armstrong of Merck and Chris Senanayake of Boehringer Ingelheim. Two keynote speeches will be given, by Barry Trost of Stanford and Mauricio Futran of BMS. The rest of the program will also be a balance of speakers from both academia and industry, with topics to include asymmetric catalysis, natural products, organic synthesis and crystallization engineering.
